How we handle your data and your orders

Checkout is hosted by our commerce platform (Shopify), which processes card payments over an encrypted connection. We do not see or store your full card number — payment details are handled by Shopify and its PCI-compliant payment processors.

Orders placed through our store are subject to Shopify's checkout protections, including fraud screening and 3-D Secure where required by your bank.

When you place an order we receive your name, shipping address, email, and order contents so we and our sellers can fulfill and deliver it. If you contact support we keep the messages you send so we can respond and resolve issues.

We use this information only to operate the store: process orders, arrange delivery with the relevant seller, handle returns, send transactional email about your purchase, and meet our legal obligations (for example, tax records).

We share order details with the seller responsible for each item so they can ship it, and with the carrier they use for delivery. We also rely on our commerce platform (Shopify) and our website infrastructure to operate this store.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contact details with third parties for their own marketing.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep your cart working and your session signed in during checkout. Where additional analytics or marketing cookies are used, they are set by our commerce platform under its own controls.

Order records are retained for as long as needed to support returns, warranty, accounting, and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete data we hold about you that we are not required to keep — contact us using the address below and we'll respond in a reasonable timeframe.

Traffic to this site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access to the storefront is limited to the Market Direct Express team and protected by the authentication controls of the underlying platforms we use.
